I have been working as a professional photographer in Exeter and Devon since leaving University in 1999. From that time until early 2011 I worked professionally full time as an ‘in house’ photographer within a company Marketing Department. In May 2011 I made the decision to move into full time freelancing and work for myself as Thru A Lupe Photographic. Since mid 2009 I have photographed regular briefs and features for clients such as Volksworld, Volksworld Camper & Bus and Camper & Commercial magazines.
Since going fully freelance I have been working with clients such as Bicton College, St Peters School Exeter, Flybe, CMS SupaTrak, Blaze Publishing, Roland UK, South West Ambulance Service Trust, Clic Sargeant as well as regular contribution to magazines such as Drummer, Bass Guitar, Custom Car, Volksworld, Retro Cars, Performance VW and Classic American.
I don’t like to ‘pidgeon hole’ my work and concentrate on any one particular field and therefore I work under the motto ‘if you’ve got it, I can shoot it’ ! I do however specialise in a few particular genres – Automotive, Commercial, Editorial, Wedding, Live Stage and Performance and Portraiture. I am not a photography ‘geek’ and don’t feel the need to quote all my equipment specifications. I do however state that I am a Canon man through and through and swear by Canon optics! I am a Canon Registered Professional. Other than that, I utilise a mobile studio flash kit which means I am capable of photographing in a studio set-up anywhere indoors or out!
